The Powerwash Guy Guarantee

The 12-Month No-Green Guarantee

Plain and simple: if green growth comes back on the siding we cleaned, we come back and fix it — free. Here's exactly how it works, what's covered, and how to ask for a re-treatment.

The Promise, in Plain English

When you get a house wash from Powerwash Guy, we clean your home's exterior siding so it's free of green algae, mold, and mildew. If that green growth comes back on the same siding we cleaned within 12 months, we'll come back and re-treat it at no charge. That's it — that's the whole promise.

What's covered

The guarantee applies to the exterior siding surfaces included in a qualifying house wash, such as vinyl, HardiePlank/cement board, brick, and stucco. If we washed it as part of your house wash service, it's covered.

Green growth

Algae, mold, and mildew returning on covered siding

What "green growth" means

"Green growth" is the algae, mold, and mildew that builds up on home siding in our humid North Carolina climate. It's the greenish (or sometimes black or yellow-film) streaking that appears on shaded, north-facing, or moisture-prone walls over time. That's exactly what your house wash removes — and what the guarantee protects against.

It does not mean general dirt, dust, pollen film, or everyday grime that naturally re-collects on any outdoor surface. Those are normal and aren't a sign of a failed wash.

The Guarantee Period & How to Use It

When your 12 months starts

The 12-month clock starts on the day your house wash is completed — not when you book, and not when your quote is written. If your service spans more than one day, it starts when the siding work is finished.

What we'll do

If green growth returns on covered siding within the 12-month period, we'll come back and re-treat (touch up) the affected areas at no charge. That's our remedy — a free re-treatment of the specific areas where green growth has come back.

How to request your re-treatment

Just reach out and let us know. A quick photo of the area helps us confirm it's green growth (not normal dirt) and get a crew scheduled fast.

What's Not Covered

To keep this guarantee honest and fair, there are a few situations it doesn't cover. These aren't gotchas — just common sense.

Surfaces outside the house wash

Roofs, driveways, decks, patios, gutters, and other services have their own results — the No-Green Guarantee covers the house wash siding only.

General dirt, dust, pollen, or grime

Normal re-soiling from the outdoors isn't green growth and isn't a defect in your wash.

Surfaces not washed or cleaned

Any area we didn't treat as part of the service (or areas you asked us to skip) isn't covered.

Physical damage or pre-existing issues

Cracked siding, peeling paint, failing caulk, or other damage isn't something a wash (or a re-wash) can fix.

New-construction residue or efflorescence

Construction dust, mortar residue, and efflorescence (white mineral deposits) on newly built homes are separate conditions requiring specialized care, not a standard house wash.

Work performed by another contractor

If another contractor treats, damages, or alters the siding after our service, that area is no longer covered under this guarantee.

Inaccessible or unsafe-to-reach areas

Surfaces we can't safely reach with standard equipment or access may be excluded from coverage. We'll flag these before starting work.

Severe external contamination

Damage or contamination from events outside normal conditions — such as flooding, mudslides, or chemical/fertilizer overspray — isn't covered.

Different surfaces, different care

Not every surface keeps clean at the same rate. Shaded or north-facing walls, areas under trees, and siding near sprinklers or heavy moisture will naturally grow algae faster — even on a properly cleaned home. That's normal, and it's why we tailor each wash to your home's specific materials and conditions. Different siding types and climates may require different cleaning approaches or maintenance schedules.
